Grade 5 iPad Security Breakfast

After two weeks of looking after their iPads the Grade 5s were ready for their iPad licenses and their new iPads. On the 27th of February the Grade 5s and their parents gathered in the hall for the start of their iPad journey. A delicious breakfast and great excitement. A quick fun activity using Aging Booth saw to great laughter and hilarity between parent and daughter; after which Angelo from Digicape – our tech partner – showed parents how to set the security setting for their daughter’s iPads and use Parent Jamf effectively. The girls’ faces, a lot less happy than their parents after the security talk where parents were shown how to lock the iPads and limit screen time.

Fortunately, the Grade 5 teachers had planned a fun day orientating their class to use the iPads effectively in lessons. The girls rotated between activities and soon the horror of parents controlling their iPads was forgotten and they were masters of their own learning using their iPads.
