Grade 4 Inning

- Mrs Louise Whitelaw

The Grade 4 girls have been learning about living organisms, the different types of consumers, and the roles organisms play in food chains during their Integrated Studies lessons this term. On 11 March, they had the wonderful opportunity to bring this learning to life during a fascinating visit from Producate. The girls met a variety of unusual animals and enjoyed learning many interesting facts about them. Producate brought along naked rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, geckos, bearded dragons, and snakes for the girls to observe and hold. There was even a large boa constrictor, and many of the girls were brave enough to pose for a photograph with it! One of the highlights of the experience was seeing the rainbow boa shimmer beautifully in the sunshine, displaying its stunning colours. The girls asked many thoughtful questions and impressed us with their enthusiasm and knowledge throughout the visit.
