100 days of Big School in Grade 0
15 January 2025 – the first day in Grade 0 at St Mary’s DSG. Since then, we have been crossing each day off until we reached 100 on 16 July 2025.
The day dawned and into school shuffled some very old looking “young” ladies – dressed for the occasion with grey wigs, spectacles, pearls and walking sticks.
We counted and we counted from 1 to 100 in the form of exercise and by remembering which 10 animals we saw in order at the zoo in the story. We also counted out 100 oatees to string into a necklace. The highlight of our morning was when we were joined by the Grade 3s. With their encouragement, we found all the numbers to 100 on our one hundred chart that were hidden around our garden.
