Staying Safe in a Digital World
Our Grade 5–7 girls recently had the privilege of attending an insightful presentation by renowned social media expert Emma Sadleir. The girls were joined by the Grade 5–7 boys from WHPS for this valuable learning opportunity.
Emma shared practical advice on how to navigate the online world safely and responsibly. She highlighted the importance of protecting personal information, thinking carefully before posting content online, and understanding the long-term impact that digital footprints can have. Students were encouraged to consider what information is appropriate to share and what should remain private.
Through engaging examples and real-life scenarios, Emma helped the students understand both the opportunities and risks that come with social media and online communication. Her presentation empowered them to make informed decisions, protect themselves online, and become responsible digital citizens.
We are grateful to Emma for sharing her expertise and equipping our girls with essential skills to stay safe in an increasingly connected world.
