Penryn Netball Festival Highlights

A team of U12 and U13 netball players recently competed at the Penryn Netball Festival in Nelspruit (Mbombela). Our four-hour bus ride flew by with laughs, singalongs, and snack breaks.

We stayed at Ebundu Lodge, just steps from Penryn School, so we were always close to the action! The festival buzzed with friendly competition. On day one, we played several matches and enjoyed the cool breeze while giving it our all on the court. On day two, we played more matches, proudly sporting our new Penryn shirts, cheering so enthusiastically we might have surprised a few birds! A reunion with an old friend made it even more memorable.
Off the court, fun continued with delicious meals sponsored by Spur. At the lodge, a guitarist’s welcome performance at dinner set the perfect mood for the evening. When it was time to go home, tired but happy, we filled the bus with stories and laughter to remember.
From exciting matches to lasting friendships, this festival was a win all around! The U13 team shared many special moments, especially since it was our last time competing at Penryn , a memory we’ll all cherish.
