Figure Skating

Congratulations to Kwande Ngqulunga who will be representing the Gauteng North Figure Skating Association at the Gauteng Inter Provincial Figure Skating Championships held on 15 – 17 March. This is a prestigious event, and participation is necessary for skaters to qualify for the South African National Figure Skating Championships.

Tennis

Wishing Esmae Shinners everything of the best for her American Express Free State Super 8 and the American Express Junior Nationals Qualifier in Bloemfontein from 26 March t0 2 April.

Hockey

Netball

We are proud to congratulate Oratilwe Seomana on her selection into InterDistrict Netball trials. She is just a reach away from acquiring her provincial colours in netball.

The netball season got off to an exciting start with a series of friendly matches against Brescia House School, setting a positive tone for the weeks ahead. The younger teams, from Grade 4 to Grade 6, took to the courts on Friday, 13 March, while the Grade 7 players proudly represented the school during the Derby Day alongside the senior school on Saturday, 14 March.

Across all age groups, the girls demonstrated impressive skill, determination, and teamwork. Most notably, their excellent sportsmanship stood out, reflecting the true spirit of the game and the values of the school.

The Grade 4 teams delivered a particularly strong performance, remaining unbeaten on the day. The U10A, U10B, and U10C teams secured convincing victories, while the U10D side battled hard to earn a well-deserved draw.

In Grade 5, there were several highlights, with the U11B, U11C, and U11D teams claiming wins in closely contested matches. Although some teams faced tough opposition, their resilience and commitment were evident throughout.

The Grade 6 teams experienced a mix of results. The U12B, U12C, and U12E teams celebrated impressive victories, showcasing their growing confidence and cohesion. Other teams faced challenging matches but continued to fight hard until the final whistle.

The Grade 7 teams, playing as part of the Derby Day, rose to the occasion against strong competition. The U13D and U13E teams secured excellent wins, while the U13B team held their opponents to a draw. Despite some losses, all teams displayed determination and a willingness to compete at a high level.

Overall, it was a promising start to the season, with many encouraging performances across all age groups.

Swimming

To say we are proud of our swimmers is an understatement! We are absolutely over the moon with our teams’ performances over the past few days.

A Team – 5th place in the girls’ section, and combined with our brother school, WHPPS, we achieved an outstanding 4th place overall. B Team – 8th place in the girls’ section and an incredible 3rd place overall. C Team – 4th place in the girls’ section and a victorious 1st place overall!

Congratulations to our dedicated coaches, committed managers, and every single swimmer who gave their all in the pool. Your hard work, teamwork, and determination truly paid off.
