Junior Instrumental Afternoon Hosted at Waterkloof House Preparatory School

On 18 June, the Junior Instrumental Afternoon at WHPS provided a wonderful celebration of young musical talent. Our Foundation Phase wind and string ensemble delighted the audience with a beautiful performance, showcasing their dedication, growing confidence, and love of music. The afternoon was a testament to the hard work of our musicians and teachers, and a reminder of the joy that music brings to our school communities.

Grade 00 St Mary’s DSG and Whippets Playdate

The Grade 00 girls visited Whippets and spent a wonderful morning collaborating with the WHPS boys and girls. To extend our theme of "In the Air" and "Air Transport," the children received boarding tickets and eagerly "boarded" their aeroplane. They watched an informative video about aeroplanes and then enjoyed experimenting with different materials to create their own parachutes. The children shared a picnic together on the playground, providing a lovely opportunity for social interaction and friendship-building. The morning concluded with an engaging story about a hot air balloon ride, bringing a delightful end to a fun-filled and educational experience.
