Our DELF exams at the Alliance Francaise de Pretoria!
A big group of our enthusiastic French students celebrated a major milestone at the Alliance Française de Pretoria in the second this term, where they successfully wrote their DELF A1, A2 and B1 French exams.
For passing the DELF, they receive diplomas showing their French language competency recognized worldwide. While preparing for the exams in the afternoons, our grade 10, 11 and 12 girls gathered in the Alliance’s garden and on its terrace and supported its authentic French café, savouring delightful French pastries and dishes—croissants, quiches and more—while chatting in French and relishing the sense of achievement and progress. After completing their oral exams, the girls beamed with pride, reflecting on their progress from basic introductions to expressing themselves with confidence. Stories and tips were exchanged and there were moments where the stress had mounted, but our French learners persevered wonderfully and have amazing results to show for it. It was a joyful moment of language, food and friendship and we celebrate having grown closer as a group and as St Mary’s DSG girls.
