Grade 00-Grade 3 Family Picnic
The St Mary’s DSG community came together in the most heartwarming way on the evening of 7th February for the annual Grade 00-Grade 3 Family Picnic. With picnic blankets spread across the lawns and children’s laughter filling the air, it was an evening to remember—a true celebration of connection, joy, and the spirit of togetherness.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who joined us, bringing not only delicious picnic spreads but also open hearts and warm smiles. It was wonderful to see parents making the effort to connect with one another, building relationships with fellow parents whose daughters are in the same grade. These connections will no doubt enrich the school experience for both children and parents alike.
The evening was a beautiful reflection of our thriving community—one where children could run, play, and delight in each other’s company while parents engaged in meaningful conversations. It was a night that reminded us all of the importance of community and the role we each play in creating a nurturing environment for our young girls.
As we embark on this new year together, let this picnic serve as a reminder of the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” As parents and teachers, we stand together as part of each child’s village, supporting them in their growth, learning, and development. May this be the beginning of a year filled with collaboration, support, and shared joy.
