Welcoming new staff to our Junior School

We are delighted to announce the permanent appointment of Mr Evans as the school's Assistant Chaplain. Over the past two terms, during his time as the locum Assistant Chaplain, Mr Evans has already made a significant impact. Both staff and students have enjoyed his engaging messages in Chapel and Divinity lessons and have embraced the joy of learning new worship songs. We are grateful for his dedication and are thrilled to welcome him officially to the DSG family.

We are also excited to welcome Ms Nosipho Makalima, who joins us as a teacher for Grade 5 Mathematics and IS and Grade 6 Mathematics. Ms Makalima brings valuable experience, having taught Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the Dominican Convent in Johannesburg for the past two years. She also completed her teaching internship at Redhill School, where she honed her skills and passion for education. We look forward to her flourishing in her new role and wish her many years of happiness and success at DSG.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Nortje as the locum art teacher for Grades 3 to 7 while Mrs Sikhosana is on maternity leave during Term 1. Mrs Nortje will also take on the role of Grade 6Z2 Form Teacher for Term 1. She is no stranger to our Junior School, having fulfilled several locum posts with us. We are confident that the girls will benefit significantly from her exceptional talents as an artist and art teacher, and we look forward to her contributions in this term.
