Rooted in Heritage, Growing Together
On Heritage Day, our school celebrated the richness of our diverse cultures and traditions under the theme “We Are United in Diversity!”
Our celebrations began with a special assembly led by our Transformation, Diversity and Inclusion (TDI) Ambassadors. Inspired by the trees we planted as a school in 2025, we reflected on how trees draw strength from their roots, just as we draw strength from our cultures, traditions and shared history. Although our roots may differ, we stand together, growing stronger through our diversity.
The celebrations continued across the curriculum, with engaging classroom activities and playing indigenous games that brought our heritage to life. One of the highlights was seeing our teachers join our students in playing Indigenous games! Laughter, teamwork and cherished childhood memories filled the air as generations connected through the joy of traditional play.
Our Heritage Day celebration reminded us that heritage lives in our languages, stories, games and the values we share. By embracing our differences and celebrating what connects us, we nurture a school community where everyone feels valued, respected and included.
Different roots. Shared ground. One community! Together, we continue to grow a culture of belonging, unity and appreciation for the beautiful diversity that makes us who we are.
