Empowering Digital Learning: Grade 5 iPad Security Morning

Yesterday morning, our Grade 5 parents and students gathered bright and early for an engaging and informative iPad Security Session as part of the 1-to-1 iPad Programme rollout. This milestone event marked the beginning of an exciting digital learning journey for our young learners, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate their iPads responsibly.

The session kicked off with a warm welcome from Mrs. Louise Whitelaw, followed by an insightful briefing from Mrs. Astrid van Wyk, our Junior School Head of Digital Technologies, who covered essential information on device care, security, and responsible usage. Our industry partners from Digicape provided expert guidance on online safety, app management, and parental controls through Jamf, ensuring that both students and parents feel confident in this transition.

A highlight of the morning was the hands-on Jamf Parent setup session, where parents actively engaged in configuring safety measures and screen time settings to support their daughters in using their devices as effective learning tools.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all parents for their participation and commitment to ensuring a safe and structured digital learning environment. As we embrace this new chapter, we look forward to seeing our students thrive in a tech-enabled classroom, empowered with knowledge and digital responsibility.
