Computer Applications Olympiad Report

Our girls from Grade 10 to Grade 12 took part in the Computer Applications Olympiad. This proved to be a challenging yet rewarding experience for our learners. This prestigious national competition, which tests learners’ problem-solving and computational thinking skills using everyday applications, unfolded over three rigorous rounds.

  • Round 1 took place from 24 to 28 March, where our learners faced a variety of complex scenarios requiring logical reasoning and creative thinking.
  • Round 2 was held on 8 May, and we are proud to announce that six of our learners advanced to this stage—an impressive feat given the high level of difficulty and national scale of the competition.
  • The Final Round is scheduled for 30 June to 2 July, and we are thrilled to share that one of our girls,Kara Naidoo, has qualified for this elite stage, placing her among the top young minds in the country.

Participation alone in the Applications Olympiad is a mark of excellence. The competition is known for its demanding nature, and progressing through its stages is a testament to a learner’s analytical ability, perseverance, and digital literacy. We commend all our participants for their dedication and courage in taking on this intellectual challenge.

Their achievements reflect not only individual brilliance but also the strength of our academic programme in nurturing critical thinking and innovation. We wish Kara the very best as she prepares to represent our school at the national level!
