Initiatives and campaigns
The Aganang scholarship programme
Aimed at providing access to exceptional education for talented young women, this programme ensures that financial circumstances are never a barrier to potential.
Vision 2030: Building for the Future
As part of our strategic goals, we are raising funds to build innovative facilities and programmes, including:
- A STEM and innovation centre for cutting-edge learning
- A community pavilion with a world-class gym, café and covered seating at the AstroTurf
- Expanded boarding facilities to accommodate the growing demand for boarding in Gauteng
- A performing arts centre with a state-of-the-art theatre and auditorium
Community partnerships and outreach
Our commitment extends beyond the school gates. Initiatives such as our teacher internship programme, sports and culture exchanges and outreach in underserved communities reflect our dedication to uplifting South Africa’s education landscape.
St Mary’s DSG Legacy Fund: Investing in Generations Beyond 145
The St Mary’s DSG story began in 1879, founded on the principles of integrity, purpose and excellence. More than 145 years later, our commitment remains steadfast: to empower young women to believe in themselves and their potential to have a positive impact on the world.
As we look to the future, we invite you to be part of a new chapter that aims to secure the legacy of St Mary’s DSG for generations to come.
Why establish a legacy fund?
A legacy fund ensures the long-term sustainability and growth of our beloved school. It enables us to invest in critical areas that enhance the St Mary’s DSG experience for every student while aligning with our ethos and vision.
The legacy fund will focus on:
- Scholarships and bursaries – supporting talented students who need financial assistance, and ensuring their access to our world-class education
- State-of-the-art facilities – developing modern, innovative learning spaces such as a STEM and innovation centre, a performing arts theatre and enhanced boarding facilities
- Teacher excellence – attracting, developing and retaining outstanding educators to guide our girls to their full potential
- Sustainability and future growth – strengthening the school’s financial foundation to weather economic challenges and remain a leader in education
Your role
Contributing to the legacy fund is more than giving a gift, it is investing in the lives of future Daughters of the King.
Whether through a donation, pledge or bequest, every contribution ensures that St Mary’s DSG continues to thrive and transform lives for decades to come.
Be part of our legacy
Join us in shaping a future beyond 145 years, providing opportunities for tomorrow’s leaders to believe in themselves, excel and soar.
