About Advancement
At the St Mary’s DSG advancement office, we are committed to developing a supportive community that drives our school’s sustainability and growth.
Our mission aligns with the definition provided by the global non-profit organisation the Council for Advancement and Support of Education: “Advancement is a strategic, integrated method of managing relationships to increase understanding and support among an educational institution’s key constituents, including alumnae and friends, government agencies, the media, members of the community and philanthropic entities of all types.”
At St Mary’s DSG, we view advancement as more than just a department – it is the heart of how we nurture relationships, build partnerships and strengthen our legacy as an institution that educates and empowers exceptional young women.
What we do
The advancement office covers the following areas:
- Alumnae relations – connecting with old girls to keep the sisterhood strong, enabling them to give back as mentors, advocates and supporters
- Communications and marketing – promoting our school’s mission, vision and achievements to a wide audience, ensuring a cohesive, compelling message across different platforms
- Admissions and enrolment – engaging with prospective families and ensuring a seamless journey from inquiry to enrolment
- Fundraising and donor stewardship – securing private financial support to ensure access to world-class facilities, scholarships and programmes that empower our girls to thrive.
We aim to ensure that every stakeholder – from new parents, alumnae and donors to community members – experience positive and meaningful engagement with our school.
